Want a Beautiful Smile?

Orthodontics: At River Valley Dental we straighten teeth to help an individual to effectively bite, chew and speak.  Straight teeth contribute to healthy teeth and gums.  Properly aligned teeth and jaws may alleviate or prevent physical health problems.  Teeth that work better also tend to look better.  An attractive smile is a pleasant “side effect” of orthodontic treatment.

An attractive smile is a wonderful asset.  It contributes to self-esteem, self-confidence and self-image—important qualities at every age.  A pleasing appearance is a vital component of self-confidence. A person's self-esteem often improves as orthodontic treatment brings teeth, lips and face into proportion. In this way, orthodontic treatment can benefit social and career success, as well as improve a person’s general attitude toward life.

Orthodontics for adolescence and adults: At River Valley Dental we provide orthodontic treatment for children who are 7-10 years of age for orthopedic reasons. This treatment develops the jaws and takes advantage of the growth of both the maxilla and mandible. We call this ortho phase I.

Braces and Invisalign are for adolescence and adults. This is called ortho phase II. Invisalign is a modality of orthodontic treatment that is appealing to individuals who are trying to conceal their efforts in straightening their teeth. In addition Invisalign allows for better enunciation during speech and ease of flossing and brushing because they are removable.

Invisalign "It's clear and it's convenient"
Invisalign is the best way to straighten your teeth without having to live with the "metal mouth" look of traditional braces. That's because Invisalign is a series of clear, removable, plastic aligners that are custom-made for your teeth. It's easy to get started. First, Dr. Spraggins will talk to you about your goals and examines your teeth to ensure they will benefit from the Invisalign system. He then writes a detailed treatment plan and orders a full set of customized aligners.
